Privacy Mode: Hide WhatsApp Chats While You Share Your Screen
Sharing your screen should not expose your chats
You are presenting in a call. Your screen is visible to everyone. Then your WhatsApp chat list appears, and private conversations are suddenly public.
That moment is exactly why we built Privacy Mode in Volt.
See how it works!
What Privacy Mode does
When you enable Privacy Mode, your WhatsApp chats stay hidden so no one around you can read them while you work.
It is simple by design:
- Turn on Privacy Mode to hide sensitive chat content (either from menu or with ⌘+D / Ctrl+D)
- Hover over a chat when you need a quick peek.
- Move your cursor away and it hides again.
- Turn the whole mode off with one click.
Built for everyday work
This is a small feature. But our users are WhatsApp power users, and while working with them we found this detail highly relevant.
This is not a complex setup or a one-time trick. It is a small control you can use every day when you are in meetings, recording videos, or working in public spaces.
At Volt, we care about these details because they reduce stress and help you stay focused while using WhatsApp.
Try it in Volt
If screen sharing is part of your workflow, Privacy Mode gives you a safer default without slowing you down.
Open Volt, enable Privacy Mode, and keep your chats private while you work.
